How do you wash hey dude shoes?
Hey! If you are reading this, it probably means that you have a pair of Hey Dude shoes. Well, if you’re like me and don’t want to ruin your favourite pair of black suede Hey Dudes by washing them in the washing machine then I’m here to save the day for ya. Just follow these easy steps below!
Step 1:
Put on rubber gloves (I used yellow ones because they were scented with lemon) so as not to irritate your hands while scrubbing.
Step 2:
Fill up your tub with warm water and add ¼ cup laundry detergent or baby shampoo (my personal preference is baby shampoo). Remove laces from the shoe so it will be easier to wash later on.
Step 3:
Place your shoe in the water and begin scrubbing (alternating between brushing the toe end, heel end, side panels, & stitching). Then place aside in a sunny spot or near the heater to dry.
Step 4:
Place laces back into your shoes so they don’t get ruined. And you are done!!! Keep in mind that this method will prevent the suede material from wearing away
